Leeds Building Society only offers its own mortgages and we do not charge a fee for this service.
Other fees and charges may be applicable depending on the mortgage product chosen,

If you apply for a mortgage online you will not receive advice from us.
You will need to make your own choice about which mortgage is appropriate for you and Leeds Building Society will not assess the suitability of that mortgage.
Therefore, you will not benefit from the protections of an advised service where Leeds Building Society provides advice and assesses the suitability of your mortgage choices.
This is called an execution only transaction.
We can only process an online mortgage application if you are able to provide us with the following information;
the rate of interest you want
the interest rate type you want (e.g. a fixed rate)
the price or value of the property (estimated where necessary)
the length of the term you want
the sum you wish to borrow
the repayment method you want (e.g. Capital & Interest)
You will be able to provide us with this information as you progress through the application screens.
We will also ask you to sign an 'execution only acknowledgement statement' as part of your application.

We will only offer interest only mortgages in limited circumstances.
You will need to have a clearly understood and credible repayment strategy in place to pay off the capital and (if applicable) any accrued interest at the end of the mortgage term.

As part of this assessment we will check your details against our lending criteria and search your record at credit reference agencies. We reserve the right to repeat this search should we deem it necessary. The agencies
will record this search whether or not your application proceeds. Information which is provided to us and/or the credit reference agencies about you and those with whom you are linked financially, may be used by us and
other companies if credit decisions are made about you, or other members of your household.
